NSW: Missing bushwalkers found unharmed
SYDNEY, April 10 AAP - Three bushwalkers missing in a national park west of Sydney
have been found cold and hungry but unhurt.
The men, all in their 20s, left Sydney about 7am (AEST) on Friday to go bushwalking
and camping in the Kanangra Boyd National Park, near Oberon, police said.
They had been expected to return to Sydney by Sunday afternoon and were reported missing
yesterday after failing to return.
A police spokeswoman said the trio were winched to safety after being located by the
PolAir helicopter in the park about 9.30am (AEST) today.
The men were cold and hungry, but unharmed, she said.
State Emergency Service and police began looking for the group today after their vehicle
was found in a car park at the entrance to the national park yesterday.
