FED:Rudd heads to Vietnam, Germany
CANBERRA, April 11 AAP - Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd is jetting off again - this time
to Vietnam and Germany.
Mr Rudd will leave Australia on Tuesday ahead of meetings with Vietnam's foreign minister,
prime minister and president in Hanoi.
The primary focus of the meetings will be the future of the East Asia Summit and the
growing bilateral relationship.
Mr Rudd will also open a new section of RMIT's campus in Ho Chi Minh City and lay a
wreath at Long Tan, ahead of this month's Anzac Day.
Mr Rudd will then travel to Berlin for a NATO foreign ministers meeting on Afghanistan.
Mr Rudd will meet on the sidelines with Afghan foreign minister Zalmai Rassoul.
"It also provides us with an opportunity to reiterate to all 48 participating states
that we're there until the completion of this task," Mr Rudd told AAP on Monday.
Events in Libya are also likely to feature in talks.
